13) A Fun Halloween Story… ★★★★★

By Nancy Allen (The Avid Reader) on 6 January 2024 (Amazon US Review and Goodreads Review)

Jimmy and the Halloween Candy Monster by Donald Firesmith was a fun little read. It is Halloween and the candy monster comes every Halloween and steals Jimmy’s candy. He hides it but the candy monster always finds it.

Jimmy has a plan this year. He asks his mom and dad to help him hide his candy from the candy monster. But when he gets up the next morning before his parents he searches their room for his candy. The candy monster visited his parent’s room in the middle of the night and took his candy.

Jimmy and the Halloween Candy Monster is a fun, sweet little story about how children always eat to much candy on Halloween and how Jimmy’s parents come up with a solution to keep Jimmy from eating too much candy at one time.

Jimmy and the Halloween Candy Monster is a great story for parents to read to their children on Halloween or any time of the year.

Grab a copy of Jimmy and the Halloween Candy Monster today for your child! I think parents will enjoy Jimmy and the Halloween Candy Monster as well!

12) Ingenious ★★★★★

This is a fantastic story about a boy who collects a bag full of candy every Halloween. But every year he awakens the next morning only to discover the candy monster has stolen almost all of his candy! He decides to get help from his parents (bless his innocent little heart). Again, next morning there is almost no candy left in his bag. What can the family do?

You will have to read the story. I only wish I had been so smart when my kids were young! Mom and Dad, you’re going to really enjoy this one! Get a copy, read it, and be prepared for next Halloween. I hear there just might be a candy monster running around your neighborhood next year. Your kids might need your help so you’d best be ready. I’m just sayin’….

Donald Firesmith tells and shows a remarkable and fun story in Jimmy and the Halloween Candy Monster.

Jimmy and the Halloween Candy Monster is a wonderful story for children, and it is fun to read. Anyone who has been a parent of the too-much-candy on Halloween, when your child brings home a sack of candy. I am a fan of this author! Whatever this author writes, I read. The illustrations were remarkable, and told the story along with the grand script of Donald Firesmith. This book would be perfect to read to a child or have the child read it back. It’s very educational and has a great moral to it. It’s fun to read, and very enjoyable. Hide your candy well so that you can keep all your candy safe while you are asleep. We are introduced to Jimmy and his parents, and Jimmy knows that every year the candy monster comes and takes a large amount of his candy, so he asks his parents to help keep his candy safe. Jimmy and the Halloween Candy Monster is a definite recommendation by Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews. I read this book to give my unbiased and honest review. Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews recommends that anyone who reads this book, to also write a review.

8) Entertaining Story and pictures ★★★★★

By Kaye Nutman on 25 October 2023 (Amazon Australia Review)

Engrossing short story about a young boy who always seems to lose his sweets/candies/lollies on Halloween night to the cookie monster. The language is well pitched to the younger age group, who will find the color pictures entertaining too.
